This Sunday Duane Park will hold the 13th annual Inside Tribeca Loft Tour, which offers a limited number of ticket holders an inside look into come of TriBeCa’s most amazing lofts every year. Each loft displays a mixture of creative uses of space, beautiful décor and an extraordinary home.
An event that was started in 1999 by the Friends of Duane Park as a way to both raise money for TriBeCa’s Duane Park, one of the oldest public parks in the city, and for TriBeCa residents to show off their homes to their friends, neighbors and interested apartment-philes. All of the proceeds from the loft tours will go to the upkeep and improvements of Duane Park as well as to helping restore other public areas in TriBeCa.
This year’s tour will include an eight-bedroom triplex that was created from several different apartments to construct a house within the city, as well as one complete with a 3-story climbing wall and displays museum-like views of New York. Another loft on this year’s tour has been featured in New York Spaces and Architectural Digest and was created by local designer Damon Liss and architect Nancy Nienburg with floor-to-ceiling arched windows and exposed beams, while establishing a home for modern family living.
This year not only takes place in TriBeCa but also lies “Outside Tribeca.” A bonus four-floor penthouse loft from the Financial District on the other side of City Hall Park will also be featured on the same day.
Come view the best lofts in Tribeca Sunday, October 14, from 1-5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at duanepark.org for $60 or $65 from Duane Park. To visit the added loft in the Financial District, 250 viewers will be able to purchase tickets for $25 in advance, and $30 the day of the event.
