Midtown’s historic Roseland Ballroom is set to close its doors for the final time next year and will do so in style with Lady Gaga taking the final bows at the hallowed venue. Set to close in April, Lady Gaga will perform the final four shows on March 28, 30, 31, and on closing night, April 2.

Roseland first opened its doors in 1919, and was a New York landmark  on 51st and Broadway for more than three decades at that site, before moving to its current location on 52nd street in 1956.

Thoughout the years, the venue has evolved along with the culture of music from jazz, classic rock, disco, to modern day pop. Along the way, it has provide an enviable stage for such major performers as Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones and Beyonce.

Rumors are that the new owners of the structure plan to demolish the theater to make room for a new high-rise apartment building, though those reports have not been confirmed.

Tickets for the final shows will go on sale this Monday at 10am and general admission will start at $52.
