New York City can be the city of love for anyone who arrives with the desire to make it real. You can easily fall in love with the city, the buildings, the lights, the movement of people walking through the street…What isn’t that easy is falling in love or staying in love with someone. For that kind of love we seem to need all the help we can get. And believe it or not, the process of falling in love starts at home.

So whether you are single or with someone, use the power and styles of feng shui to attract more energetic passion into your home and workspace for your relationship or a new love. Loving someone is good for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, so do yourself a favor and fall in love.

1. Position Your Bed Correctly

Bedrooms are very important in the world of love. If  you feel like moving your furniture from time to time, this is perfectly fine, but just be sure you know the best position for your furniture. You should not sleep in line with the door, but you should be able to see the door from your bed. It is best not to sleep under a window and it is also important to make sure you have enough space to walk on either side of the bed. Good furniture placement will allow for  a stable and harmonious flow of energy for which every room needs!

2. Change Up Your Bed Sheets

Alternate your choice of bed linens among bright red, white, or bright green to bring more passion into the bedroom. Red sheets will make your love life sizzle but don’t use them too often or your romance could burn out.

3. Create Space For a Partner

To bring love to your bedroom even if you don’t have a mate, create a space in your closet for a future partner’s things. Add eight empty hangers to say “I am welcoming you into my life. I have space and time for you.” Empty a drawer and make space in your closet, creating equal space for your belongings and your partner’s.

4. The Southwest Corner of your Home

The southwest corner of your home is the area for love. Place two pieces of rose quartz or two peonies, the flowers of love and romance, in that area of your home.

5. Accessorize in Pairs

Displaying entwined hearts in your home environment will stimulate ideas and thoughts of love. Double interlocking hearts attract more love and passion for the couple or for a future love interest. Also, rose quartz is the gem for love, compassion, healing and romance. Place two pieces on your nightstand and carry the gem in your purse or car. As jewelry, allow your gem to rest on your heart.

6. Flowers Symbol

There is nothing like walking into a room and seeing a vase of red and white flowers and smelling their scent. Flowers always represent romance. Decorate your house with red flowers to symbolize love and white to symbolize affection and love.

7. Add Visual Stimulation

According to feng shui, the stronger and clearer you are in stating what you’d like to see happen in your life, the easier it is for the universe to send you your heart’s desire. If you are single for example, you need to hang pictures of love in your home. If you are already with someone, hang pictures of the good times. Paintings or photographs of couples in love should be placed in the bedroom, especially across from the foot of the bed.

8. Arrange Dining Area in a Circle

When picking out your dining room furniture, choose a circular table. When it comes to creating more love, the dining room is the second most important space in a home. Encouraging face-to-face interaction allows for more conversation in the relationship and less distraction by other things going on in the room.

9. Create a Spark with Candles

A pair of pink candles in the back, right-hand corner of a room (the romance/relationship area according to feng shui practices) can add both a spark and a glow to your love life while also attracting a new flame if you’re single.
