Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress Oscar, along with accolades for this stunning gown!

We’re not going to lie: Red Carpet Fashion was quite underwhelming this year. Some wore full sequin ensembles, while others surprisingly opted for blasé neutrals. In fact, most big-name publications could not even come up with a clear verdict on who was best and worst dressed on Oscar Night. Below we have six celebrities whose disputable looks landed them on both lists:

SalmaHayek_01

1. Salma Hayek

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by Moviefone and The Guardian

Voted Worst Dressed by Perez Hilton

What we think: Although we didn’t love Salma’s embellished high-neckline, the rest of the black, velvety dress was form-fitting and classy (as her ensembles usually are). Overall, the petite actress looked fabulous.

2. Jennifer Aniston

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by Huffington Post

Voted Worst Dressed by LA Times

What we think: The Valentino dress wasn’t a total stunner, but it was simple, elegant, and a bangin’ RED, as opposed to all the other neutral dresses of the night. Ultimately, Jennifer went down the “old Hollywood glamour” path and we’re so glad she did!

3. Kerry Washington

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by LA Times

Voted Worst Dressed by Perez Hilton

What we think: This Miu Miu dress was definitely more “Prom Night” than Oscar-worthy. Although we admit the color stood out and suited the actress well, the overly embellished bodice made her look like she was in her teens… not her thirties.

HalleBerry_01

4. Halle Berry

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by the Wall Street Journal

Voted Worst Dressed by Moviefone

What we think: Halle said she was going for an edgy, “Bond Girl” look, and boy did she nail it! Donning her famous pixie cut, the star looked wonderfully unique and sexy in a black and silver lined, sequin gown with a plunging neckline.

HelenHunt_01

5. Helen Hunt

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by Huffington Post

Voted Worst Dressed by Perez Hilton

What we think: Helen Hunt’s dress, as many now know, was designed by H&M for the Conscious Collection (which we love). However, while the navy, satin gown was a good idea in theory, it was highly disappointing in practice. We applaud H&M for trying to go high-end, but ultimately, the dress looked cheap. Someone find this woman an iron!

6. Kristin Stewart

What they said:

Voted Best Dressed by Moviefone

Voted Worst Dressed by LA Times

What we think: The actress’s appearance was unfortunate all around – the crutches, the messy hair, and a skin-tight, unflattering dress with a strange combination of lace and tulle at the bottom. Honestly, we’re wondering if she could breathe.

Our favorite male celebs, on the other hand, did not disappoint, showing up in classy tuxedos!
