Francis Albert Sinatra, one of the greatest singers in American pop history, kept an incredible show business career for over 50 years. He was well known, not only for his passion and ambition, but his revolutionary performances that inspired stars like Elvis Presley.

Years later, in Carnegie Hall, you still hear the songs of his success as you listen to the New York Pop’s musical tribute to Frank, Let’s Be Frank. Together with the amazing Pops orchestra, NY Pops Music director, Steven Reineke opened the evening with ‘’New York, New York’’.

The first guest artist, Frankie Moreno, set the tone for the whole evening as he sang, ‘’It Had to be You.” He even put down his mic, and showed off his powerful singing voice as it filled the venue. His performance was followed by Night and Day, sang by Tony DeSare. He was joined by the beautiful Storm Large for the duet ‘’The best is yet to come’’ and later, ‘’Come Rain or Come Shine.” The last guest artist to perform was Ryan Silverman, who amazed the crowd with ‘’I’m Gonna Live Till I Die,” followed by the sweet, beautiful song ‘’Moonlight Becomes You.”

Mr. DeSare opened Act II with ‘’I Have Dreamed,’’ and a duelling piano duet with Frankie Moreno that left the crowd cheering. Another remarkable song of the second act was the duet of Large and Silverman, ‘’Something Stupid’’ – as the crowd reminisced of Sinatra singing the song with his daughter Nancy.

Perhaps the most beautiful moment of the evening was the encore, a jumble of Sinatra’s most popular hits like:  “I’ve Got the World On a String,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “The Summer Wind,” “Witchcraft,” “Luck Be a Lady,” and “All The Way?” performed by all the guest artists.

This tribute could not be bigger in representation of Frank Sinatra’s influence. In total, 78 brilliant Pops musicians and four amazing singers, all honored Frank Sinatra with their talents.
