French home décor and life style brand, Madura just celebrated the opening of their new store in downtown Manhattan. The new three-floor store is located on Broadway between 20th and 21st street, right in the Flatiron District.

The celebratory evening for the opening was all about versatility, luxury, and multiplicity, representative of the 40- year-old brand. The company is true to its claim of continuously offering an eclectic aesthetic and a large product assortment.

The talk of the night were the items on display, whose vivid patterns and designs are capable of spicing up any space. Guests were able to enjoy Madura’s signature cocktail; containing guava puree, lime juice, simple syrup and Ocean Vodka. They were also seen sporting gifted Madura totes, which were signed by prominent street artist, AV One.

The family-run brand was founded in 1971. They offer a large collection of items, from over 300 decorative pillows, to more than 1,000 window treatments, along with throws, bed linens and decorative accessories.

The small in-house design team draws inspiration from around the globe, translating it through a French point-of-view. Their exclusive collections feature ready-made products for the convenience of their clientele. The limitless styles, colors and materials are crafted keenly for quality.

Unlike other home décor brands, the Managing Director of Madura USA, Charles-Henri Cousin describes Madura as a “fashion brand,” translating fashion trends in to home décor. Their goal is to help clientele with the new beginnings of changing a space, whether “for starting a family or just fostering a home,” said Cousin. Madura can suggest looks for many different needs.

With close to 50 stores internationally, 35 of them located in France and now two in New York City, Madura has been and remains a staple in French home décor.
