Awaken that inner princess you dreamt of becoming when you were younger with MAC cosmetics’ new Cinderella line. Inspired by Disney’s non-animated recreation of Cinderella which hits theaters today Friday, March 13th, this limited line of luxury cosmetics has both beauty and Disney fans raving. It may not be a glass slipper but from the quality of the products, their playful names, and the iridescent gold-trimmed packaging, you’ll certainly feel like the perfect princess.

The packaging may just be the biggest reason to purchase the new line. The products are compact in a pearlized lavender blue casing. The shade is truly fit for royalty, as it genuinely compliments Disney’s most beloved and iconic princess. The eyeshadow palette, titled ‘Stroke of Midnight’ comes in a magnetic case with neutral shades ranging from subtle nudes to deeper browns and an insanely pigmented midnight purple. The company also released gel eyeliner as  a branch off of it’s preexisting ‘Fluidline’, and they come in two different shades. A black shade, titled ‘Little Black Bow’ and a purple shade titled ‘Macroviolet.’ These gel liners are famed for their ultra smooth texture allowing for a silky end result.

Moving onto MAC’s most esteemed products: lipstick. The ever famous matte black, bullet shaped tube is also lavender blue. The first lipstick, ‘Royal Ball’ is a flesh toned pink with a lustre finish which almost replicates the same shade on the original Cinderella princess. The second, ‘Free as a Butterfly’ is a sheer golden nude with a lustre finish. However, that isn’t all for the lips; the brand released a pair of iridescent shimmery lip glosses. Titled, ‘Happily Ever After’ which gives a light pink finish, while the other, ‘Glass Slipper’ has a champagne finish. Both glosses are complimentary to the lipsticks, so pair them up if you’re in the mood for a glossy lip.

Other products released were MAC classics, a mascara available in the new packaging and two glitter pigments for your eyelids or hair (if you’re feeling daring.) This entire cosmetics collaboration is the best thing since MAC’s Maleficent line. These products certainly have invoked nostalgia within our inner youth, though now, we may still honor the most beloved princess of our generation in a new way. Not satisfied wearing a poofy dress and replaying Cinderella through the vhs, you can now get the one thing that truly leaves you feeling like a princess: makeup!
