Lower East Side’s Pickle Day: 13th Edition

This upcoming Tuesday, October 4th, while we’re basking in falls arrival and the departure of green leaves; something else of green hue is temporarily making it’s way Downtown. Pickle Day!

For five dill-ightful hours, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., pickle aficionados can congregate on Orchard st. between Houston and Delancey to celebrate a sandwiches best friend.

The lower east side’s community festival will vendor 15+ international pickle practitioners, as well as a line up of 30+ local restaurants offering staple, delicacies. Restaurants include Melt Bakery, The Meat Ball Shop, Roni-Sue’s Chocolate, Mimi and Coco, and more.

The pickle professionals will be selling pickles on a stick, and the restaurants will be serving pickle inclusive dishes.

A live DJ will be playing throughout the day, as well as activities for all to participate in. From a clairvoyant to pickle trivia, face painting, a pin the pickle parlor game, and the highly anticipated brine dunk tank.
