There is something about gambling that endears itself to humans. Some people live for the rush that comes with risking money in exchange for the chance to win a whole lot more. However, I do believe the best way to try and crack down on such operations would be to legalize gambling on a much wider scale. New York cannot afford to continue to let neighboring states be more progressive in that regard.
Giving underground casino patrons a legal alternative to underground operations is a natural first step toward fixing the problem. Fortunately, it seems as though it is only a matter of time until New York starts to take steps toward full-scale gambling legalization.
