Feathered Brows For Fall: How To

Seldom do fall trends vary with cosmetics; an oxblood lip is a recurring seasonal staple, as is a smooth, matte face. But this fall 2015, while bold eyebrows are  quintessential, we’re also in awe of the feathered eyebrow.

Unlike the crisp and clean-cut bold eyebrow, feathered brows bear a natural, air brushed look. The key is to brush the hair at an upward angle rather than the direction of hair growth.

To master the tousled, natural look; we’ve got your step-by-step on how to achieve this autumn alternative.

1. Brush your eyebrow with a clean spoolie to begin with a smooth base.

2. Use your desired brow pencil, we recommend the Chella Makeup Eyebrow Color Kit, and begin filling in your brows with the pencil. Rather than applying small strokes to the hair in the direction of hair growth, begin to flick the brush upward. The slight shift will enhance the feathered look because the strokes will be parallel to the hair.

3. Use the Chella Brow Defining Gel to brush your hair. This part is crucial: stroke the hair at a diagonal angle so hair can look piece-y and separated (the essence of the feathered look.)

Tip: Do not brush directly upward, that’s the difference between a frightened brow and a feathered brow.

Chella’s Eyebrow Color Kit is available in a variety of fun, alliterated shades for all hair colors: awesome auburn, beautiful blonde, dazzling dark brown, luscious light brown, tantalizing taupe, and elegant ebony eyebrow. Equipped with how-to for beginners, a sharpener for worn down pencils, and a brow highlight. The all-in-one kit retails for $54.

A good set of eyebrows are imperious, and the slight shift in hair direction can change your entire makeup look, or even be the staple. As seen countlessly on the runway for SS 2016 collections, makeup artists paired spring hued lips with this fall-esque eyebrow. Trendsetting the feathered brow look for seasons to come!
