The New York City Pride March may be two days away, but in commemoration of the Supreme Court’s milestone decision, celebrate marriage equality today.

NYC Pride will host a walk on the streets of Manhattan and Pier 26 tonight to celebrate this momentous occasion.

The meeting will begin at the historic Stonewall Inn – where the Stonewall riots of 1969 began modern movement for LGBT rights in the U.S. – tonight at 6 p.m.

After the gathering at Stonewall, Pier 26 will kick-off the annual Pride Rally. Doors to the Rally open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.

NYC Pride released the following statement in response to today’s Supreme Court decision:

Completing this dream of Marriage Equality has been a goal of millions of LGBT and ally Americans since before the Stonewall Riots gave rise to our movement. We thank the countless activists who have worked so tirelessly to make this dream a reality.

This is a great step forward in our fight — a fight that is not over until equality and justice under the law are achieved for all. When all of our LGBT brothers and sisters can live their lives authentically and fully participate in society, then that will truly be a Pride to remember.

Witness the beginning of a new America.
