Recently, Downtown Magazine had the privilege of attending a launch party at the Macaron Café for an up-and-coming fashion and lifestyle blog called The Trend Movement. Started by Shameda Shah, she says that she originally started her blog as a go-to place for where her friends could go to for advice on fashion and beauty tips. Since then, however, her blog really began to take off and gained the attention of others.
According to Shah, everything that is featured on her blog comes from her own personal experiences. Events that she has attended, products she has tried, and places that she has been are all incorporated in some form on to her site. The sole purpose is to comment and update people on the up-and-coming trends around town.
The launch party was a booming success. So many people came out to support Shah, including family, friends, and sponsors. The environment at the party was upbeat, and full of energy. The food was delicious, with hors d’oeuvres provided by personal chef Sawdayah Brownlee, and of course delicious macarons from the Macaron Café.
