Having a baby soon, or is someone you know having a baby? Do you still need a totally awesome, but super cute, baby shower gift? Then look no further than PiccoliNY and Estella, two of the top luxury baby retailers in the city and around the country.
PiccoliNY is situated on Mott Street, tucked in between Broome Street and Grand Street, located in Little Italy. PiccoliNY is a little boutique, but it is not hard to miss. The sign for the store with its black and white logo stands out among the crowd of buildings along the street.
Started in 2011 by owner Alex Zagami, PiccoliNY specializes in unique, New York City centric themed baby merchandise and gifts. PiccoliNY has their own line of baby merchandise, with their exclusive hot dog and pretzel tees, baseball tees, onesies, and leg warmers (pictured below). They also have a plethora of unique accessories, such as blankets, rattles, teethers, and pacifiers. Estella, for example, has a line of New York City themed baby rattles, like knit taxis and MetroCards, that are also sold at PiccoliNY.
At DOWNTOWN, we received a hot dog and pretzel onesie, paired with matching leg warmers. They are perfect for a gift, or for your own baby, as it presents a super cute, New York chic look. Estella’s corporate headquarters is located in the Flatiron district, however, it mainly operates through its online boutique and distributes its merchandise to many other baby boutiques in New York, as well as California, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and internationally.
Estella has an exclusive collection called the Bamboo Baby Collection. The collection is high quality, and the materials are extremely soft, making it perfect for a baby’s sensitive skin. The bamboo material is stretchy and versatile, making the clothing non-restrictive and longer lasting. They also have their own exclusive baby accessories, such as dolls, blankets, organic baby toys, nursery decor and pillows.
We received two baby rattles, one shaped like a taxi and the other a MetroCard. They are organic, made with 100% cotton, making them not only extremely cute and well-designed, but also super eco-friendly. We also received a little taxi security blanket with a black and cream backdrop. It is also organic and made of 100% cotton. All of these items are perfect for add-ons to a baby shower gift, as they are versatile, and can’t be found anywhere else!
