Located in the heart of the financial district, the landmark Stone Street Tavern embraces the history that has shaped this New York institution, offering customers a unique experience that nods to its roots.

Accented with exposed brick and vintage chandeliers, the Stone Street Tavern has created a charming old world atmosphere that invites you in and makes you feel right at home.  The Stone Street Tavern prides itself on its service, boasting a friendly staff that is committed to their customers.

“Here its more intimate and we’re more involved with our customers,” said manager Melissa Minjares.  “We have this particular staff that is very engaging to their customers and you see them come back and come back.  We get phone calls asking what staff is on and they come to see them particularly.”

The Stone Street Tavern offers an eclectic mix of local beers and craft cocktails made with premium spirits.  “We do get our draft and bottle [locally],” said Minjares.  “We are very into supporting local breweries, like Sixpoint of Brooklyn, Blue Point, and Founders.”

The Tavern also offers a menu of Winter Warmers, helping guests combat the cold with delicious, rich drinks.

Their signature cocktail, the Stone Street Manhattan, is not only presented beautifully, with a delectable sugar rim garnish and a maraschino cherry, but the subtle, sultry taste is sure to make this cocktail your new favorite.

The Stone Street Tavern’s menu serves up American cuisine with a twist.  From their wide variety of delectable buffalo wing sauces, to their unique take on the classic Burger, the Stone Street Tavern’s menu plays with your palate and with each bite, leaves you wanting more.

Their signature burger, the Famous Burger, plays on familiar flavors with innovative ingredients.  Their burger is made with a Pat Lafrieda brisket blend, fresh cucumber, tomato, and red onion, finished with ketchup and mustard, and served on perfectly toasted English muffins.  If the delicious drink menu and friendly atmosphere doesn’t make you want to come back, this new take on an American classic surely will.

We also recommend trying their luscious Lobster Mac and Cheese.  Stone Street Tavern breaks all the culinary rules, combining cheese and seafood, creating a delicious dish that’s so wrong, its right.  Made with fresh, succulent lobster knuckle and claw meat, a velvety three cheese blend, and finished with truffle oil and bread crumbs, this dish will leave you licking your plate clean.

Whether you come for the cocktails or their finely crafted menu, it just takes one visit to the Stone Street Tavern to see why it has earned the title of Best Tavern Downtown.
