Ballet Peformance - Don Quixote

On May 14-16 the Michael Schimmel Center at PACE University will be showing a famous ballet performance based on the story of Don Quixote, the visionary who tilts windmills and sees beauty where others see only squalor. The lower Manhattan-based Gelsey Kirkland Ballet Company will bring this iconic ballet performance to life.

The performance is choreographed by Marius Petipa, including Ludwig Minkus. This classic ballet is based on Miguel de Cervantes’ Spanish novel with reference to an idealistic middle-aged man obsessed with tales of chivalry. On Quixotes’ quest for love, he happens upon Kitri, the lady of his dreams and the spirited daughter of the town’s innkeeper.

The ticket prices are $59, $49, and $39. Patrons who would like to purchase a ticket online can do so here or call the university’s box office at (212) 346-1715. The performance times for Thursday and Friday May 14th and 15th are at 7:30pm. Performances for Saturday May 16th are at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.

Don Quixote at PACE is sponsored by Gaynor Minden.
