Planning a vacation can be difficult. And pet owners carry an extra burden — who will care for their beloved buddies? Indeed, finding a pet-sitter can be frustrating. Family members and friends make excuses why they can’t sit your dog, and the usual pet-sitter decides to not reply to your calls or texts. So what do you do when in this situation? Adam Pokornicky has found the solution by creating a Tinder-like smartphone app for pet-sitting: DoggyBnB.

DoggyBnB is an app that pet owners can trust while preparing for upcoming trips. With this app, users can use contacts (such as their trusted circle of friends) that they trust without worrying about leaving their dogs in the wrong hands. Pet owners will also be able to “sniffer,” or find other pet owners who live nearby, to set up play dates for their pets (which is also a great way to meet other dog-lovers in the neighborhood!).

DoggyBnB has a similar set up to the popular dating app, Tinder. When users come across a sitter they’re interested in, they are matched up, if the other person is interested as well. Once users are matched up, they can text each other, by using the in – app messaging system about a play date or pet sitting job.

But finding a pet-sitter or “boarder” through DoggyBnB has a cost. If you pay your pet sitter over ten dollars, the company takes 10 percent of the fee. If you pay below ten dollars, the company will charge a dollar for every job request or “woof.

DoggyBnB is currently only compatible for the iPhone, but will be coming to Android app stores soon. Join the pet owners’ community on the DoggyBnB webiste. Don’t let your dog be a single lady. Put a ring on it.
