On November 5th, Champagne Bollinger hosted a star-studded screening of the latest James Bond film, SPECTRE, at the IFC Theater in New York’s West Village.
The screening, which was in advance of Friday’s US release, also celebrated the relationship Bollinger has with the Bond film franchise – having appeared in 14 films since the 1970s – and a new champagne, SPECTRE Limited Edition, named after the film and created especially to celebrate the longtime partnership.
Guests included Helen Mirren, Gina Gershon, Alan Cumming, Cuba Gooding Jr., Valentino, Jessica Hart & Stavros Niarchos, Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl, June Ambrose, to name a few. Everyone sipped on Bollinger Champagne as they watched Daniel Craig play Bond for the last time in this film. The screening was followed by an after-party at The Lion a few blocks away, where guests continued sipping on Bollinger until past midnight.
Downtown Magazine CEO/ Published Grace A. Capobianco was in attendance with Karine Bakhoum owner of KB Network News.
“What a lovely premier. Daniel Craig as James Bond always delivers. Bollinger was served during and before the premier and, while I’d never tried champagne with popcorn, it was exquisite,” enthused Capobianco.
In addition to the SPECTRE Limited Edition, a SPECTRE Crystal Set is available now to celebrate the release of the 24th Bond adventure. The base set echoes 007’s iconic gun barrel, while the top of the metallic neck label featuring the Bollinger 007 signature is set off with a cabochon marked with the sign of the octopus, the Spectre.
Jerome Phillipon, President of Bollinger stated, “Bollinger has been featured in 14 Bond films. It has been the exclusive Champagne partner since Moonraker in 1979. Our limited edition is an opportunity to discover this rare 2009 vintage expression from Bollinger, presented in an innovative gift box by the legendary elegance of agent 007.”
