Treat the father figure in your life to some of the best beers in downtown Manhattan. These are the best bars in the area for anyone who is tired of the usual Budweiser or PBR.

1. Jimmy’s No. 43, 43 E 7th St.

With a beer variety of 14 tap, 48 bottled, and 2 canned brews, this bar has something to satisfy even the pickiest beer drinker. This doesn’t even include the on deck beers not yet released. There are plenty of tasty dishes to accompany your beer such as pasta with mushrooms and ricotta, or the Flying Pigs Farm smoked pork chop with peppers and onions. To finish off your night and satisfy your sweet tooth, try the apple crisp or bread pudding with Ronnybrook whipped cream.

Of course, if your special man isn’t much of a beer drinker, Jimmy’s No. 43 offers a large selection of spirits and wines, with a particularly long list of bourbons and whiskeys.

2. Alphabet City Beer Co., 96 Ave C

Of course anywhere with the words “Beer Co.” in their name would have plenty of unique beer choices for you and your father figure. Not only do they have plenty of space for a Father’s Day extravaganza, but they can cater your party if you decide to have it at home! They also have a selection of cheesy dishes and sandwiches to choose from.

3. Good Beer NYC, 422 E 9th St.

This craft beer shop prides itself in serving beers from independent, micro, and nano brewers. Their beer menu is about 80 percent American and 20 percent from Germany, Belgium, the UK and Scandinavia. Their menu offers customers foods like chorizo, kielbasa, vegan sausage, pretzels, jerky, nuts and hot dogs. Their most recent addition to the tap is Radiant Pig Anniversary IPA.

4. The Randolph at Broome, 349 Broome St.

The Randolph at Broome not only has quality beer, but coffee as well for any coffee enthusiast fathers. This bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can celebrate with your father figure any time of the day. If you want upscale food with a more calm and low-key atmosphere, the Randolph at Broome is the perfect place for you.

These bars are the best choices in downtown Manhattan for any beer lover in your life, whether it’s on Father’s Day or any other day of the year.
