Anthology Film Archives brings stars to its benefit event at Capitale

by | Mar 8, 2017 | Culture, Events

Based downtown on Second Avenue, the Anthology Film Archives is an international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of film and video. Anthology screens more than 900 programs annually, preserves an average of 25 films per year — with 900 works preserved to date — in addition to publishing books and DVDs and hosting scholars.

At its recent Anthology Film Archives Benefit and Auction at Capitale, plenty of stars came out, including actor Steve Buscemi, actress Zosia Mamet, designer Zac Posen, filmmaker Jonas Mekas and singers Michael Stipe and Patti Smith.
