Allure at Any Age: Iris Apfel is the Face of Blue Illusion’s New Campaign

Born in Astoria Queens, Apfel worked for Women’s Wear Daily and an interior designer in her youth. She then married Carl Apfel and the two launched a textile firm. Her eye for design as well as her many travels for work allowed her to amass a collection of colorful and exotic clothing. Through a series of events and parties, she became recognized for her consistently fabulous attire. Today, even in her old age, she is praised for her fashion sense in documentaries, magazines and museums. With her bright ensembles, strands of chunky jewelry and bold, bubbly eyewear, she is a delightful testament to style transcending age.
