2015 is upon us and with that brings a new year of fabulous fashions and must have trends. And just where does one look to find the future of fashion? The runway of course! The spring 2015 collections were bustling with tantalizing trends, a veritable frenzy of style inspiration. We scoured through the top fashion trends and selected a few of our favorites, straight from the runway.

Bohemian Elegance

The boho trend is getting a touch more refined for the spring 2015 season. Designers such as Vera Wang, Valentino, and Dries Van Noten elevated this vintage inspired look to an entirely new echelon with chic silhouettes, elegant details, and impeccable styling. Boho styles are no longer for hippy chicks; even the most elegant of downtown ladies will be vying for this 2015 trend.

Suede

Continuing with the 70’s era inspiration, suede has returned to the runway. Derek Lam, Emilio Pucci, and Miu Miu have all embraced this trend, using suede in a variety of forms, including coats, A-line skirts, and wide leg trousers – yes, the bellbottom is making a comeback as well. For 2015, suede is the must have fabric in fashion.

Denim

Denim, yet another beloved fashion fabric, made a significant impact on the runway during the spring shows. Ubiquitous in the construction of pants, denim was used in unexpected and bold ways, transforming the fabric from run of the mill to runway ready in the collections of Fendi, Chloe, and Dolce & Gabbana. From embellishments, to unique construction, to beautiful dark washes, denim has been reinvented for the 2015 runway.

Bold Florals

We know, we know; florals for spring is not the most novel of concepts. However, we love the big, bold, eye catching prints that designers like Celine, and Miu Miu showed on the runway. Skirts with bold, two-tone flower prints, pantsuits constructed in fabrics of flora, and colorful floral frocks are must haves this spring. Don’t be a wallflower; embrace the bold.

Gingham

Traditionally reserved for picnic blankets, designers such as DVF, Oscar de la Renta, and Michael Kors have adopted this fabric and elevated the print to a high fashion must have. From flowing skirts to short sets and even mink coats, gingham is the quintessential print for spring 2015.

So whether you are looking to overhaul your wardrobe or simply add a few select styles, these trends will have you looking fashion forward for the new year.
