It’s spring and it’s the time of year that many schools throughout lower Manhattan host their annual PTA sponsored spring auctions. The auctions help raise funds for public school enrichment programs, student and teacher supplies and various activities throughout the school year. These programs include art, music and movement classes, science and technology instruction, literacy support and several other programs, which will broaden children’s educational experiences. The auctions are another avenue to help build the downtown community. The annual auctions are open to the public and tickets are still available for purchase.
