In 1977 two men Sal Cirami and Eric Prager had a conversation about the new bicycle safety program. They never dreamed that this conversation and a day trip of around 250 students and members of bicycle clubs taking a ride through the five boroughs would 40 years later be what is known as the Five Boro Bike Tour.
This Sunday May 1, 2016 come out and ride this exciting tour or cheer your friends and family on. 32,000 cyclists of all skill levels from around the world will roll through the streets of the 5 boroughs that make up NYC streets, car free. This year Downtown Magazine will ride with Splashlight Studios, we look forward to a fantastic day and lots of memories. What better way to see this great city!
