Keira Knightley for CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle 2014 by Mario-Testino

Keira Knightley continues her role with Chanel and their Mademoiselle perfume ad campaign. This is the third time that the actress has collaborated with the luxury designer company.

Since 2007, Knightley has been featured in the mini advertisement films for the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. For this installment, Joe Wright, who directed the previous two advertisements and has worked with Knightley on past films (Pride and Prejudice and Atonement), is back in the director’s seat.

The newest advertisement for the fragrance is entitled “Where is she now?” It follows the story line of a beautiful woman who plays a game of hide and chase with her pursuer who tries to win her over, only for her to slip away shrouded in mystery. Knightley discussed her elusive character during an interview, saying, “She’s completely in control. She’s kind of there and she’s sort of playing with him but then she gets on a speedboat – what more can you ask for?”

The story takes place at a party with The Zombies’ hit song “She’s not there” playing in the background. Her hopeless suitor, played by Russian actor Danila Kozlovsky, catches the scent and glimpse of Knightley and heads towards her, only for her to vanish in a magical haze. She appears again in a speedboat, leaving her charmer standing on a bridge in awe of her departure. The ad hit TV screens on Friday, March 21. You can watch it below.
