Fall is coming and with it comes an entirely new color scheme. In addition to the falling foliage which begins to adorn the streets of Manhattan, the new shades of the season can also be reflected in your interior design.

As always, home decor follows trends from the runways. Just by adding a few key accessories, you can make your home fashionable without major reforms. The size of the room does not matter, but if you have little space, you can compensate with style. Check out some of DOWNTOWN’s favorite ideas for decoration, flowers and furniture this fall.

Dishes, cups, placemats and glasses are a simple, but great way to change the atmosphere. Give your white dishes a vacation and take over the cabinet with some color.

With fall nature at its height in the gardens and squares all around New York, your home can not be left out. Bring the color inside with potted tropical plants and any kind of flowers. In corners without natural light such as bathrooms, you can put synthetic vegetation as an alternative. We recommend deep yellow hues mixed with browns and earth toned flowers for the fall.

A simple decorative pillow has the power to completely change the mood of a room. Whenever there comes a new season, just swap out your living room decor for some earth-toned comfort including throw blankets and pillows on the couches.

Side tables can fit perfectly around your couch or even next to your bed when you need a surface to eat or work on. Since this piece of furniture is functional and small enough to swap out, we highly recommend changing it for the season to add color to the room.

To complete the look, pick one bright color, instead of neutral, to stand out and leave your home with the full embodiment of the fall season. Combine elegance and comfort in your luxurious decor.

Happy shopping and don’t forget, mustard isn’t just a condiment!
