There’s a connection between mind and body that all people should be aware of, especially those interested in fitness. The Dogpound’s philosophy stresses connection between mental and physical states. The biggest key to success is a strong community.

When you uplift each other in a community, it reaches a level beyond what you could have achieved just by yourself. The Dogpound pushes each other to the limit, both inside and outside the gym. When each member has a positive aura, it elevates the whole pack.

When training physical fitness for youth, Kirk and his team design the program to have physical and mental elements. The physical part of the program consists of a wide variety of outdoor training in parks and facilities throughout the lower Manhattan community.

The mental part consists of team building exercises and street and litter cleanup expeditions to improve the lower Manhattan community.

Helping the local community is great, but it’s even better when you are able to take your generosity worldwide.

That’s exactly what the team at DOGPOUND did this past Saturday on June 27, 2015.

Kirk Myers, founder of Dogpound has teamed up with Rebecca Foon, Co-Founder of Modo Yoga, and Unik Ernest, Co-Founder of the Edeyo Foundation, to raise money for the Edeyo School in Bel Air and to fund the building of a new facility, which will help more children in Bel Air. The event featured intimate yoga session led by Modo Yoga NYC, a fun smash session with the boys of the DOGPOUND, live music, live auction and amazing treats.

Also, a big thanks to our sponsors Lulu Lemon for providing shirts and David Barton gym for letting us use their space.
