For many years, equestrian tradition has served as inspiration for Gucci. Now, Gucci is presenting the Cruise 2013 collection, it’s first-ever equestrian line.
Creative Director Frida Giannini designed the collection, basing it on the wardrobe she created for Edwina Alexander, the top female equestrian-jumper who is sponsored by Gucci. The collection features pieces that are not only highly technical but also glamorous, making them perfect for the most intense competitions as well as for regular wear. Gucci has designed beautiful ready-to-wear clothing and accessories including the riding equipment an equestrian needs. The collection features a riding whip, a saddle, horse blankets, a leather belt, gloves and a silk foulard. The iconic company’s distinctive symbols appear throughout the collection, making these pieces classics and, of course, every piece was designed with Gucci’s excellent craftsmanship.
Gucci has officially entered the equestrian world and with Cruise 2013, it has made an elegant entrance.
