Manicube and Sephora combined forces to fight blood cancer on World Blood Cancer Day, May 28. During their event, which took place at the 150 Broadway Sephora, customers had the chance to help spread the word about blood cancer by sharing a selfie of themselves alongside the blood cancer ampersand. After they shared the selfies with #WBCD and tagged Sephora, Manicube and DeleteBloodCancer, customers were treated to free Manicube manicures.

Downtown Magazine spoke with Desiree Chavis, the communications associate for Delete Blood Cancer:

“We get to do this event that gets people aware of exactly what the bigger issue is with blood cancers, you know, a lot of people don’t know what they are, or what treatments consist of, which bone marrow transfer is a big part. So it’s really nice to get in a great neighborhood where there’s a lot of traffic coming through and partner with two really amazing brands, Sephora and Manicube, to make this awareness happen.”

No matter what day it is, it’s never too late to join the fight to Delete Blood Cancer. By joining the bone marrow registry, you are signing up to possibly save a life. Every four minutes, an American is diagnosed with blood cancer. Only 30% of blood cancer patients are able to find an eligible donor within their own family, and only six out of ten patient will find a donor in their fight against the disease.

Be that donor for someone and join the fight against blood cancer and register here.
