Fifty Shades of Bear

The DOWNTOWN office was filled with excitement when a highly anticipated delivery arrived on Friday afternoon, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Hot on the heels of his worldwide premiere, Mr. Grey himself had fled Seattle for the Big Apple and was now being welcomed as the newest addition to the DOWNTOWN office!

Before we get carried away here, we would just like to clarify that yes, this is the one and only, the star of Fifty Shades of Grey, Mr. Christian Grey… in bear form that is!

Our very own Creative Director Haley Newman had the pleasure of taking Mr. Grey home for Valentine’s Day, and what a special weekend it was. The pair gallivanted around the city with paparazzi in tow, attending several New York Fashion Week events including the Alexander Wang and Lacoste runway shows. Rubbing shoulders with Bill Cunningham, Joe Jonas and fashion bloggers SusieBubble and BryanBoy, Mr. Grey sure did get around, spending the afternoon casting models for Germany’s Next Top Model and partying well into the night at only the most exclusive Fashion Week after parties. Mr. Grey’s charcoal suit and satin tie perfectly complimented his date’s chic ensemble, while his mini handcuffs and mask arguably stole the show in fifty shades of fashion.

Although this 15 inch furry friend is strictly limited edition, our friends at the Vermont Teddy Bear Company assure us that they are still available for purchase for only $89.99! If you’re still searching for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift or just want to spoil a fan of Mr. Grey’s, you just can’t go past this silky handmade bear. Mr. Grey really hopes to see you now.
