Few things are characteristic to fall: oversized sweaters that feel like a hug, cognac leather boots, heading upstate for apple-picking, and a sensory overload of pumpkin. In the realm of beauty, few things are season-specific as well: soft brown eyeshadows, bold eyebrows and vampy lips. The one commonality they all share? Being matte! As we make the transition from dewy, glowy and shimmery for the summer, the next few months are all about matte products!

Anatasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow: You’re more likely to run into Beyonce on the street than find a negative review of this pomade. With 11 varying shades for every hair color across the spectrum- ABH redefines ‘long wear’. It has a creamy consistency, and adhere’s to hair and skin upon placement. Yes, we know, bold brows are no longer solely characteristic to autumn, but they pair beautifully with a true burgundy lip.

Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizer Primer: While providing an incredible hold on foundation, this matte primer also blurs away pores. So, if desired, you can wear it alone for a more natural look, or use it as a base for your bb cream, foundation, or concealer. (A must-have for combination skin types for shine reduction.)

yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder: As its name suggests, this loose powder settles like a veil, and mattifies where you need it most. By adding a brush to your T-zone, your makeup will remain shine-free for the remainder of the day. Having used it only on a thin layer of concealer, we can attest this product is great for pore minimization.

OPI Matte Top Coat Nail Polish: Matte nails certainly aren’t imperative, but we love to give you the option! With this top coat, you can turn any glossy nail polish into a matte masterpiece, and it’s a prime way to change up your everyday red nail. We recommend you try it with a black polish, the muted effect will have everyone doing double takes at your hands!
