Need some fresh air and organic scenery to combat the urban grind? We have a list of parks and natural landmarks in and around the NYC area to take advance of before the impending chilly winter months:

Battery Park City: Take a morning run or bike ride with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge! You can even sail along it via the Tribeca Sailing Tour, which runs from North Cove Marina to the rest of Lower Manhattan. The tours are offered seven days a week and are two hours long. The major landmarks on the cruise include: The Freedom Tower, Governors Island, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, more info can be found here.

New York Botancial Garden: The most beautiful exhibitions take place in the New York Botanical Garden during the fall season. The Azalea Garden features Virginia sweetspire, spice bush, thread leaf blue star, asters and anemone. Their rose garden is known for mesmerizing people and is revered for being “among the world’s best rose gardens,” according to their website.

Catskills: There are a variety of outdoor activities to check out at the Catskills. First, enjoy the all natural food options as they are:  “One of the top culinary escapes in the nation.” There are also many scenic drives to take.

Adironack Coast Wine trail: Located in Mooers NY, the Adironack trail has beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the Adironack Mountains.
