EXKi, a quick-casual restaurant that stands out because of its focus on creating recipes from fresh, locally produced ingredients, recently made its debut in downtown on 28th Street and Madison, as well as its new Spring/Summer 2015 menu.

The new menu boasts 11 new dishes, created by Consulting Chef Galen Zamarra of Mas (Farmhouse) and Almanac.  Several are distinguished by the use of EXKi’s signature emulsions, which provide a healthful alternative to mayonnaise and dressings in sandwiches and salads as they are 80 percent vegetable, low in fat and yet full of favor.

The new menu will also feature daily specials featuring ingredients at their seasonal prime. EXKi’s new beverage options for the spring and summer will pay homage to their dedication to the seasons. They include five variations of green tea smoothies, each defined by the combinations of seasonal fruits and blended to order to maximize flavor and freshness.

Some highlights of the new seasonal menu include the fennel, red pepper, and ginger-miso emulsions that are incorporated into a number of the menu’s new dishes. Another highlight are the green tea smoothies, which are available in five different flavors including: passion tea, strawberry, mint, and green tea. Many of the smoothie offerings are also gluten and dairy-free.

Be sure to stop into one of EXKi’s two NYC locations, and try out their new menu offerings!!
