Still looking for 4th of July plans? Join Salsa Salsa Dance Studio for their 5th annual Independence Day Beach Celebration at Coney Island!
This event is entirely free with live music by DJ John John BK and DJ Wally along with a fireworks show at night. The event will begin at 12 p.m. and go through the night with food and drinks to purchase. Attendees can enjoy a day on the beach, going on carnival rides or swimming in the ocean. There will be lifeguards on duty starting at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Salsa Salsa Dance Studio started offering expert salsa classes in 2004 to Brooklyn’s unique dance community. Instructor-performers Marcus Isaac Gonzalez and Jose Rivera opened their first studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn with the determination to bring salsa back to its local roots. Their Park Slope studio is their recent location located on 4th Avenue near Brooklyn’s Atlantic Center and offers 20 weekly classes of all levels.
