Iconic designer, Donna Karan and Fashion Director, Linda Fargo hosted a cocktail party for the launch of the new Urban Zen shop at Bergdorf Goodman on Tuesday, April 19th. Guests toasted with Vueve Clicquot and nibbled tasty treats by Bite catering, while models mingled with the crowd wearing highlights from the Spring 2016 ‘Modern Souls’ collection. The stylish DJ Vashtie kept the mood lively with upbeat ‘Zen’ grooves.
Urban Zen is a philosophy of living by Donna Karan, with clothing inspired by cultures and artisans from around the world. Working in partnership with artisans who align with its soulful economy mission, Urban Zen also features one-of-a-kid jewelry pieces, leather good, furniture and more. Their retail stores support the Urban Zen Foundation, which has a mission to raise awareness and inspire change in the areas of preservation of cultures, well-being and education.
Downtown Magazine’s CEO/Publisher Grace A. Capobianco was in attendance at the event.
