We all know that art is always analyzed for its deeper meaning and symbolism. New Yorkers should get ready to experience a new and fun way to appreciate art, because this is the art that gives back in more ways than one.

This year in preparation for the 22nd Annual Canstruction Competition exhibition at Brookfield Place in New York City, audience favorites from the past will be rebuilt and placed on display in the lobbies of 245 Park Avenue, the Grace Building, and One Liberty Plaza.

Once the structures are taken apart, the cans of food used to build them are donated to City Harvest who will distribute them to those in need. Admission to the event is free, but visitors are asked to bring a can (or more!) of high quality food to the exhibition’s collection station to add to the cans that will be given to feed the hungry in New York.

The pre-competition exhibition will be open on weekdays from 10AM-6PM from October 28th to November 15th.
