Rock and roll icon Steven Tyler rolled out a series of his hits in an impassioned performance at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall last week in an inspired effort to raise money for “Janie’s Fund,” his initiative to protect young girls from abuse and neglect!

“I’m digging deep and finding some real buried treasure for this one. I’ve never performed quite like this before,” said Tyler of the show titled “Out On A Limb.”

The Aerosmith frontman has lent his time, energy and money to this worthy cause since launching the project since launching the initiative in November, 2015.

The venerable rocker partnered Janie’s Fund with Youth Villages — the nation’s leader in driving results for abused youth. Since 1986, Youth Villages has helped more than 50,000 abused and neglected girls find long-term success.

“This is one of the most worthwhile endeavors for anyone to get behind,” said Dr. Richard Firshein, another active supporter of the initiative.

“The fact that the cause is being championed by a music megastar makes the impact all the more profound the potential for the message to be heard that much higher.”

The personal performance featured the former “American Idol” judge sharing in-depth stories and insights of his life and career and took the audience on a journey from the singer’s musical roots in Calabria, Italy!

“I’m telling it like it is and getting to perform with some extremely talented musicians and dear friends from Nashville.”

The event also featured a silent auction including such precious items as the Skittles® mic stand from the set of Tyler’s Super Bowl commercials, pieces from the singer’s personal wardrobe worn on Idol, and an opportunity to attend the Emmy® Awards in Los Angeles!
