The 911 Memorial and Brooklyn Bridge Night Tour is reinvigorating the southern end of Manhattan every Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. The tour is free, and was created to educate New Yorkers and visitors about how downtown neighborhoods have redeveloped since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The tour starts at the water fountain in City Hall Park close to the Brooklyn Bridge. From there, you will be led to some of Lower Manhattan’s historic locations—visiting St. Paul’s Chapel on Broadway St., City Hall in the center of City Hall Park, and the Woolworth Building—formerly the largest skyscraper in the world; also located on Broadway St.

You learn about the 9/11 terrorist attacks and visit the World Trade Center and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum—a tribute established to commemorate the attacks of 2001, as well as the World Trade Center bombing in 1993.

The tour will conclude with a walk halfway across the Brooklyn Bridge, where you will see Manhattan’s skyline at night. Reservations are required and the tour is approximately two hours.
